The first international event by our scientific network at KSR Educational Institutions (31 August - 01 September 2018) attracted young aspirants across Tamil Nadu. More than 1000 participants benefited from a wide range of topics and networking. The inauguration was presided by Padma Shri Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, Former Director, ISRO Satellite Centre, Project Director, Chandrayan 1 &2 and Mangalyan and Prof. P. Kolandaivel, Former Vice-Chancellor, Periyar University, Salem.

ANEH-2019

February'2019

After the first grand successive event, we organized an international conference at Bishop Heber college (04-06 February 2019), Tamil Nadu. Our platform has enabled 60+ delegates from all over the globe to deliver their vibrant talk to around 400+ participants. The conference was presided by Prof. V. Ravichandran, Director, NIPER Kolkata. The preliminary lecture was delivered by Prof. Vijamohan K. Pillai, Former Director, CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi.

Hands on Training

September'2019

India-UK joint hands-on training program for nanomaterials characterisation & device fabrication was conducted (19-21 September 2019) at Global Nano Research Network (GNRN), KSR Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, Tamilnadu, INDIA. The program mainly focused on demonstration of theory and practical classes on fundamentals of nano materials and how to analyse their physical, chemical, optical, and electrochemical properties. Experts from nanoscience and technology delivered the lectures and gave live demonstrations of various analysis techniques.

FAC-2020

The unusual COVID pandemic lockdown has transformed our learning platform from conventional classrooms to virtual meeting rooms. ANEH, as usual, provided a unique platform to learn advanced teaching modules about research for Masters and PhD scholars. We conducted the foundation & advanced courses 2020 on materials synthesis and experimental techniques- Bulk to Nano (FAC2020). The virtual course has provided an overview of the different techniques to evaluate materials for their properties from bulk to nano scale and screen them for advanced applications effectively. It attracted many scholars across India and served its purpose potentially.

COVID-19 Awareness Program

May'2021

During a COVID-19 outbreak and unprecedented vaccination fear across the country, it is necessary to become familiarised with the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine. so, we arranged a free online program titled "Virtual Awareness Workshop on COVID-19 Treatment and Fundamental Science of Vaccination" on 29-30th May 2021. We brought the frontline COVID-19 treatment workers and eminent scientists worldwide together to share their scientific knowledge with all of us. We covered Tamil Nadu's urban and rural areas in Tamil (English when needed) via online platforms Zoom Cloud, YouTube, and Facebook live stream.

Complementary Skills Training in Research Landscape

The ANEH Scientific Foundation organised an event, 'Complementary Skills Training in Research Landscape', which catered to Masters/Research students and Faculty members. The organisers of this event aim to provide participants with training in CV/Resume preparation, cover letter writing, sharing research accomplishments/knowledge through social media, and understanding industrial opportunities. Distinguished speakers from various academic and industrial backgrounds worldwide actively participated in the event and shared their valuable experiences. One thousand sixty-one(1061) participants from diverse regions across the globe attended the event.

Skills Training in Nanotechnology Landscape

May'2022

The ANEH Scientific Foundation and Tetracryst Pvt Ltd hosted the event. Renowned scientists worldwide meticulously planned a series of informative presentations for the event. We explicitly designed these talks to educate graduate students on the latest advancements in nanotechnology, covering a wide range of impressive topics. The workshop introduces the nano world and provides training to participants in project dissemination. Government and private arts and science colleges in Tamilnadu have registered 84 students, with 71 of them being female and 13 being male.

Electrochemistry Summer School

May'2022

ANEH Scientific Foundation, India and Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tamilnadu, India, jointly organised the Electrochemistry Summer School 2022 (ESS-2022). The course was scheduled for two days and included lectures and interactive sessions on electroanalytical chemistry and energy conversion electrocatalysis. The course covered fundamentals to specialised methods, including data collection, processing, and analysis. The creators intended the ESS-2022 for all students, researchers, academia, and the industrial society in electrochemistry.

Theory & Practices on Electron Microscopy

May'2022

We offered an intensive two-day course on Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy techniques. Materials researchers who are potential new users of these microscopes were intended for it. They gained a basic understanding of the instruments, optics of SEM and TEM, the imaging modes, the associated analytical techniques SAED/EDX/EDS, and related theories of image formation. This virtual course benefitted 25 participants from various states of India.

Hands on Training on Solar Energy Conversion Devices

September'2022

ANEH Scientific Foundation, India, Centre for Nanotechnology Research (CNR), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India, and Heriot-Watt University, United Kingdom, jointly organised this event. The photovoltaic research teams at ARCI, Hyderabad and IIT Madras collaborated with us as course experts and instructors. The summer school focused primarily on demonstrating and providing hands-on training in the fabrication of Dye Sensitised Solar Cells (DSSC), emerging Perovskite Solar Cells, and photoelectrochemical cells. The programme attracted participants from various academic and professional backgrounds interested in solar energy and its applications. The event registered 28 participants, with 15 females and 13 males.

UK – India Webinar on Gender Equality & Women's Access to Higher Education

March'2023

The Institute of Biological Chemistry, Biophysics and Bioengineering (IB3) at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, and ANEH Scientific Foundation, India, and Centre for Nanotechnology Research, Vellore Institute of Technology, India, jointly organised the event in honour of International Women's Day 2023. Key voices in Gender equality, Materials Science, Engineering, and Industries comprise the event. They spotlight what empowered them over the challenges and gender-bias barriers. Also, the webinar discussed how the regional government promotes women's access to higher education and research through its socioeconomic policies. I will provide tips and guidance on maintaining work-life balance for self-care and protecting mental health. Women face challenges in the Indian landscape, and here are some tips to break the barriers and overcome unconscious bias. We are creating visibility on fellowships in higher education and industrial opportunities.

Virtual Course on Electron Microscopy Theory & Practices

The course is aimed to direct materials science researchers towards the technology of imaging materials from simple to complex structures and contribute to solving significant problems in materials society. The course covered sessions on the fundamentals and tools of electron microscopy, such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). The course enabled the participants to gain knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of the principles and applications of electron microscopy. The instructor detailed the sample preparation, imaging, and data analysis process. He introduced the latest techniques and instrumentation for electron microscopy to the participants with case studies and real-time examples of electron microscopy usage to advance research in various fields. One-to-one interaction between the participant and the expert and opportunities for clarification were allowed before the valedictory.
